Welcome to the Community of
St. Gregory the Great
Catholic Church
of San Antonio
We, the community of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, gather together as God's people in faith to share in the redeeming mission of Christ the Lord. Our community is integrated by persons from different backgrounds and cultures which enrich its life and give witness to the Gospel message. We witness collectively through the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and individually, through personal prayer and living the gospel in our lives. - Our parish mission statement
Our dynamic parish was created 56 years ago and in that time has grown and changed. We have been blessed with 5 wonderful pastors who have shephered us through good times and difficult times. The Presentation Sisters, with their Irish spirit, have founded our school, lead our ministries and shared their love and generosity with all. We invite you to join our community and be enriched by the spirit of St. Gregory the Great.
"The legacy of a Catholic education is more than the knowledge imparted to our students; it is the development of a deep and abiding sense of faith, the realization of the value of moral character and the inspiration of a lifelong journey of learning." --- Daniel Cardinal DiNardo

He began his career as a Roman lawyer but after much prayer an inward struggle Gregory decided to abandon everything and become a monk. The proof of love is in the works.
