ST. GREGORY'S VOLUNTEER ASSOCIATION IS DEDICATED IN HELPING FAMILIES RAISE MONEY TO PAY FOR CATHOLIC SCHOOL EDUCATION
If you are interested in raising funds to pay your tuition, lunch cards, books, registration fees, extra curricular activities, etc…while earning volunteer hours, then the St. Gregory’s School Volunteer Association (SGSVA) is looking for you! Our mission is two-fold. We raise money that goes to the school to support a scholarship program that families may apply for, based on financial need. In addition, members of the organization raise funds for payment towards their own children's tuition and/or any other school-related expenses at St. Gregory’s, or any of our Catholic High Schools in San Antonio, or college.
How do we do this? We work concessions through Aramark, the concessionaire for the AT&T Center, Alamodome, Verizon Theatre and the J&H Freeman Colliseum. The SGSVA recruits volunteers to operate stands at many local events such as Spurs, Rampage, concerts, etc. Aramark pays SGSVA a commission on the sales of the stand. From these monies, SGSVA gives a portion to the school and the other portion is divided among those who worked that event. The people who work get an equal share that put into their family account. Later, they are able to designate their funds to pay for school-related expenses.
Any parent, relative or person who has an interest in a child enrolled at St. Gregory’s is eligible to participate in this program. However, before getting started, a TABC and food-handling certification are required. The SGSVA will assist you in this process. If you are interested, please fill out the information below and return it to the school in an envelope labeled "St. Gregory's School Volunteer Association'. You may also e-mail us.
